This 'opener' was written at the request of Staff Bandmaster Ronald Waiksnoris for the 2005 tour of Scandinavia by the New York Staff Band. More specifically, the requirement was for an opener that was based on a well-known church hymn and something that would have instant impact. The tune used is 'Hanover' which is often associated with the words, 'O worship the King, all glorious above'. The music is very energetic and effervescent, springing from a heart full of praise to our King for His great love for us.
